Creative activity in which students learn why it is better to avoid single use plastic. They create a re-usable bag out of on old t-shirt.
To get an idea of their own plastic use, the students record the number of plastic items they use in 24 hours. They discuss why single use plastics are a problem and how marine animals might be affected by plastics. By sowing their own bag, they create an alternative for single use plastic bags.
Computer, projector, needles, thread, scissor. Ask students to bring on old t-shirt.
