Disturbance in marine ecosystems-Concept mapping

Students brainstorm with the whole class which human and natural threats occur at different marine ecosystems. They pick an ecosystem in small groups and think about the effect of two disturbances. Classmates give suggestions after which each group makes a concept map. The map shows the impact and effect of the disturbances on their ecosystem. Applying knowledge in this activity can best be done after the activity 'Coral reef succession'.
