Do you know the fish you’re eating?-Research project

Students design their own research project and analyze the current fish stock from a nearby market. They interview customers and fishermen.
Students learn more about fish consumption. In small groups they design a research project and carry out surveys at the market.
They try to find on answer on questions like: Which fish is sold in their community, where does it come from and whether these species are overfished. The data about overfishing is only listed for North America. For information about your country go to www.fishbase.org, type in your country at 'Information by country' and click on 'Threatened' .
