Taking soil samples-Mangrove research

Students analyze the soil samples looking at the color, the dampness and the texture. If you want to keep it very basic, the students can compare the results. Additionally, you can dry the soil in an oven and measure the soil moisture, as well as measure decomposition through titration. The activity can be found on page 43 of the Educator's Guide.
