When plastic becomes microplastic-Mathematics

Students will investigate the difference between the total surface area when a piece of plastic breaks down into microplastic compared to the complete piece of plastic. You can find the activity on page 10 of the Teacher Lesson Plans.

Instead of making the cubes from paper and foam, draw the cubes on the blackboard. Showing the worksheets of page 6 and 7 of the Microplastics Laboratory Notebook on the projector prevents printing.
